Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven’s tutors come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, but they share a common goal: transforming their students’ lives through the power of literacy.

Tutors are currently working remotely with students through zoom (during the pandemic) and we are searching for volunteers that are willing to work with our students over this technology.

Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven designs a free blueprint for learning to help each adult student acquire literacy skills that meet everyday challenges — and achieve long-term dreams. Reading and writing, so basic to survival and success, can build a foundation for so much more in life.
