Fresh Food Distribution

United Way

The City of New Haven is receiving 1,100 boxes of fresh food from the USDA Farmers-to-Families Food Boxes program, and we need your help to get them to families in need! Starting Wednesday, September 30th, United Way will host food distributions at three different schools throughout the city. Each distribution starts at 3:30pm and will require 4 volunteers per site. This in-person volunteer opportunity will incorporate social distancing measures for both volunteers and pantry clients to ensure that we deliver vital support in the safest way possible. If interested, sign up here.

Mission Statement

United Way of Greater New Haven has been a force for good for 100 years. From Orange to Madison, New Haven to Bethany, we fight for the Health, Education and Financial Stability of every person in every community. We do this work by focusing on more than one approach. We house the homeless, feed the hungry, prepare infants and toddlers for kindergarten, and help families find jobs and get on solid financial footing. In short, we are helping people today and creating hope for tomorrow.
