The New Haven Pride Center is excited to launch a new food distribution program that will kick-off on Saturday, May 23rd and last till July 11th (unless funding changes). After concluding the recent LGBTQ+ Needs Assessment Survey, the Center found that food insecurity was the number one issue affecting Connecticut's LGBTQ+ community. In hopes of combating this issue - the Center has launched this program.
We are looking for volunteers who have access to a car and can help us deliver food to individuals and families in need. Cloth masks and gloves will be provided to ensure a safe and healthy work environment (volunteers are also welcome to bring their own PPE).
