Grocery Delivery Pantry to Pantry

Organization

Pantry to Pantry

Description

Volunteers are asked to make a regular 2-hour commitment on one or more days per week. You'll arrive at a pantry, and pick up a list of 6-8 names, phone numbers, and addresses, and grocery bags for those families. The list is routed for maximum efficiency, and we provide gloves and wipes and instructions for completing no-contract dropoffs. Join a team of over 70 drivers who collectively make around 1000 deliveries per week!

Mission Statement

We are a rapid-response coalitional organization among United Way of Greater New Haven, the City of New Haven, CARE, FISH, and the food pantries Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen, Loaves and Fishes, and the Keefe Center. Our 60-100 active volunteers make deliveries to around 1000 clients each week.
